Rare Breed Team Charter
The Purpose of the Charter is to establish a standard of safety and behavior for
current and potential members of Rare breed Paintball Team. The team plays at a
variety of fields in the Midwest. They have established and maintained a regimen
of safe, yet highly competitive, play and courteous behavior. With this in mind,
the Charter has been established to firmly set guidelines expected of current
members and to gauge the acceptability of potential and new members.
The Purpose Of Rare Breed’s Paintball Team
The Purpose of Rare breed Paintball Team is to compete at a high level in local
and regional events and to constantly and consistently improve. Our goals are to
be the team to beat. The team plays paintball on the competitive level, and it
expects every team member to be dedicated to improving himself in the interest
of advancing the team. The team is also more generally dedicated to advancing
the sport of paintball, professionally representing our sponsors, and promoting
safe and responsible behavior on and off the field.
Safety
Rare breed paintball Team places safety above every other aspect of the game.
Team members will strive to ensure other players are behaving in a safe manner.
Player Attitude & Behavior
In order to maintain an excellent reputation, Rare breed Paintball Team shall
NOT tolerate the following from its members:
1. Unsafe behavior;
2. Abusive behavior and/or language;
3. Treating new or inexperienced players poorly;
4. Individually inflicting deliberate multiple hits as players are walking off
the field;
5. ANY form of cheating or willful breaking of local field rules;
6. Inappropriate arguing with field staff; or
7. Any other form of behavior that is offensive to another player or Rare breed
Paintball Team.
Team members will endeavor to do the following, every time they play:
1. Help newer players with their equipment where and when they can;
2. Because newer players can be intimidated by even the sight of an experienced
player, when playing as walk-ons, team members shall attempt to alleviate any
apparent fears or misconceptions newer players may have about the game itself or
team members and their equipment;
3. Endeavor to provide some leadership, help and encouragement for newer players
during actual play;
4. promote good sportsmanship and fair play;
5. Aid in the monitoring of safe playing habits; and
6. Any other helpful or courteous act, when the opportunity should arise.
Membership
Membership is restricted to those who adhere to the letter and spirit of the
Rules and Charter established by Rare breed Paintball Team. Membership is not
"lifetime", and ALL current members are on permanent probation. Those who do not
strive to abide by the letter and spirit of the Rules and Charter will not be
considered for future events and play days. Members who bring guests out to team
events shall assume responsibility for that guest or guests.
Finally...
Rare breed Paintball Team reserves the right to deny any player the opportunity
to play with the team during any future playing days. The team will not tolerate
any player whose actions in any way adversely affect the hard-earned reputation
the team presently enjoys.
Mission Statement:
Rare breed Paintball’s purpose is to play paintball safely, with a positive
attitude and show respect to other players on and off the field. To help new
players by encouragement and showing them how to play the game. To show that as
